Committees

The College was established as an independent Corporation under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992.  In order to ensure it is able to meet its legal and statutory requirements, the Board has established the following Committees:

 

The Corporation Board is responsible for setting the College’s mission, vision and strategic direction. The Board provides support and challenge to the College’s Executive Team, setting the strategic direction and monitoring performance against a wide range of key performance indicators across all aspects of the College's business.

The Corporation Board is Governed by the Instruments and Articles of Government and its Standing Orders.

The College's Audit Committee is responsible for overseeing the activity of the College's internal and external audit activity, providing assurance to the Corporation Board on the internal control framework at work within the College.

The College's Remuneration Committee is responsible for making pay decisions in relation to the Principal and Chief Executive, as well as other identified Senior Post Holders.

The Search Committee is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Clerk and for the recruitment and selection of new Board Members, as well as the management and performance appraisal of existing Board Members.
