Childcare

If you would like to work in education and be an advocate for childcare, then these courses will give you both a nationally and internationally recognised qualification.

Working with our highly experienced tutors you will study a range of topics including developing child, play and early years and safeguarding children.  In addition you will have the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a wide range of childcare settings such as nurseries and schools.

 

Learning Methods:

A range of methods will be used including lectures, group work, assessment tasks, presentations, educational visits along with workplace opportunities.  

 

Full Time Courses Available:

  • Certificate in Working with Children in Early Years and Primary Settings Level 2

  • Technical Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) Level 3

 

Also available Apprenticeships:

  • Apprenticeship in Children and Young People’s Workforce at Intermediate and Advanced Level

  • Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at Intermediate and Advanced Level

 

What could I earn?

Nursery Nurse = £14,000 - £24,000

As a Nursery Nurse you will ensure that the children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment. You will work with babies and young children from birth to five years in childcare settings.

 

Primary School Teacher = £22,000 - £38,000

As a Primary School Teacher you will help to give young children the best possible start in life. You will be responsible for a child’s educational, social and emotional development while in your care.  You will also need to be enthusiastic for the subjects you teach.
