Advanced School of Manufacturing Start Your Journey to an Exciting Career...

Derwentside College is proud to announce the launch of our Advanced School of Manufacturing in collaboration with local employers.  Our Advanced School of Manufacturing is the result of a unique partnership between Derwentside College and local engineering companies, with the explicit aim of giving young people the skills, knowledge and experience needed to start a successful career in Engineering/Manufacturing.

On this one year course you will study the Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, which will include spending time in the College’s engineering workshops developing your practical skills.

Whilst on programme you will benefit from:

• Observing a variety of engineering practices whilst undertaking company tours
• Gaining inside knowledge of the industry from employer talks
• Receiving practical advice and guidance to help you secure an apprenticeship upon completion of the course
