Stuart Miller, Director at Civil Engineering Contractors Association Ltd (CECA), presented Rebecca Hart, a Groundwork Apprentice at Wyn Construction with a cheque for a £500 bursary to help achieve her career goals.
Rebecca's passion and enthusiasm for her job at Wyn Construction led to her being selected, along with four students from other colleges across the North East.

Rebecca is very keen to advance her career and wishing to pursue additional qualifications in the future. Wyn Construction are really proud of her achievements and have no doubt that she will become a manager in the future.”
Commenting on the recent roll-out of the College Bursary programme, Chairman, Ross Markwell said, "CECA set up this bursary scheme to create a legacy of future generations of Civil Engineering professionals, with the goal to have at least 50 winners of this bursary over the next 10 years."
"This new programme which is an important component of our Social Value commitments has been driven by our 'Foundations Group' (young professionals board), as part of our efforts to create a talent pipeline for the industry," said Matthew Tetley of CECA's Foundations Group.
Rebecca said, "I was very pleased to have been nominated, but to have been selected as one of the winners is amazing. All my hard work is paying off and thanks to my tutors at Derwentside College I am more confident and I look forward to my future at Wyn Construction."
