The ACE Programme
The ACE Programme
(Aspirational, Careers, Employability)
The ACE Programme is a Level 1 full-time programme of study designed to give learners the vocational, employability, and study skills needed to progress to a Level 2 course, employment, training, or an apprenticeship.
This programme provides an excellent opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours required for further learning and the world of work.
Programme Purpose
The ACE Programme allows learners to build a personalised learning package, based on their own goals and a tutor assessment of their skills profile.
This personalised programme will include:
-
A vocational qualification, either focused on one specific area or a taster of several vocational areas
-
Development of confidence, independence, and employability skills
The course is designed to help learners progress into mainstream Level 2 courses or employment. Depending on individual needs and aspirations, the programme can be completed over one or two years and includes accredited qualifications.
Learners will also study English and Maths at an appropriate level and develop a work experience portfolio. The ACE Programme builds on elements of the Vocational Studies Programme, supporting progress towards employment, independent living, good health, and active participation in the community.
