Beauty Therapy
These courses will prepare you for a career in the popular and highly in-demand beauty therapy industry. You will develop both your creativity and practical skills, opening the door to a wide range of employment opportunities, including work in salons, health spas, and even on cruise liners.
Our programmes are highly practical and hands-on. At Level 2, you will learn core beauty therapy skills such as:
- Facials
- Manicures and pedicures
- Waxing
- Eye treatments
- Make-up application
At Level 3, you will progress to more advanced techniques, including:
- Facial and body electrotherapy
- Advanced massage treatments
To further enhance your skills and employability, additional workshops are offered as part of both the Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas.
All training takes place in our professional, fully equipped commercial salon, ‘The Retreat’, where you will gain real industry experience by providing treatments to a wide range of clients.
Learning Methods
You will be mainly based in the college salon, where you will:
- Observe professional demonstrations
- Practise treatments on peers
- Progress to working with paying clients
Alongside practical training, you will also take part in theory-based lessons. These include:
- Note-taking and presentations
- Interactive learning activities
- Completion of written workbooks and assignments
