What will you do?

Derwentside College is seeking an ambitious and strategic Director of Information and Technology to join our Executive Team and lead the development of our digital, information and IT services.  This pivotal role will drive the College’s Data and Information Strategy, ensuring robust, secure and high‑performing systems that fully support outstanding teaching, learning and student experience.  You will provide expert leadership across Management Information Services (MIS), IT and Web Development, ensuring ILR accuracy, funding compliance, high‑quality management information, and strong digital infrastructure.  As the College’s strategic lead for information, funding data and digital services, you will advise senior leaders, support curriculum planning, oversee cyber security and data protection, and ensure the integrity and accessibility of data that underpins decision‑making and performance.

We are looking for an experienced and influential leader with deep knowledge of FE funding methodologies, MIS systems and digital services, and a proven track record of improving performance and driving innovation.  You will lead and develop high‑performing teams, manage resources effectively, maintain robust quality assurance processes, and build strong relationships across the College and external networks.
