Foundation Learning

Our Foundation Learning Programmes are offered at entry level, level one and level two. We will provide you with the opportunity to get your foot onto the ladder of your chosen vocational/employment pathway.

You will also be part of Prince’s Trust Achieve programme which is a flexible programme which responds to the needs of young people aged 16-19 to help them to develop the skills and confidence needed to engage and succeed in education, through relevant and engaging and informal learning. You will be supported to improve attendance, personal and social skills and engage with education.

You will develop your vocational and employability skills whilst working to build your core study skills including maths and English, so that you can successfully progress into further learning or into employment. You will also get the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities, in taster sessions, take part in our Gibside project and Vocational Courses.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry qualifications required. You will be asked to complete an Initial Assessment so we can identify what level you are working at. The program will then be designed to meet your learning needs and ensure that you are able to achieve qualifications which will help you to progress. Even if you have done it before you can progress to the next level.
