The T Level in Health offers a blend of classroom theory, practical learning, and a minimum of 315 hours of industry placement with an employer, ensuring you gain real workplace experience. Developed in partnership with employers, this two-year qualification is perfect for learners interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare sector.
You’ll combine classroom-based learning with an extended industry placement, providing a well-rounded, hands-on experience that prepares you for skilled employment, further study, or higher-level technical training.

- Principles of good scientific and clinical practice
- How the healthcare sector operates
- Infection prevention and control
- Anatomy and physiology

Occupational Specialisms:
- Supporting the Adults Nursing Team
- Supporting the Mental Health Team
Industry Placement:
- A minimum of 315 house (45 days) in an industry relevant setting
Entry Requirements:
- You will typically need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths. However, individual circumstances may be considered at enrolment
Progression Routes:
- Higher-level Apprenticeship
- University; Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nurse, Health Sciences
- Employment in roles such as; Nursery room leader, teaching assistant
