The T Level in Health offers a blend of classroom theory, practical learning, and a minimum of 315 hours of industry placement with an employer, ensuring you gain real workplace experience. Developed in partnership with employers, this two-year qualification is perfect for learners interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare sector.

You’ll combine classroom-based learning with an extended industry placement, providing a well-rounded, hands-on experience that prepares you for skilled employment, further study, or higher-level technical training.

Core Content:

  • Principles of good scientific and clinical practice 
  • How the healthcare sector operates
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Anatomy and physiology
    • Managing personal information, safeguarding, health and safety

Occupational Specialisms:

  • Supporting the Adults Nursing Team
  • Supporting the Mental Health Team

Industry Placement:

  • A minimum of 315 house (45 days) in an industry relevant setting

Entry Requirements:

  • You will typically need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths. However, individual circumstances may be considered at enrolment

Progression Routes:

  • Higher-level Apprenticeship
  • University; Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nurse, Health Sciences
  • Employment in roles such as; Nursery room leader, teaching assistant
