Education & Early Years
The Level 3 T Level in Education & Early Years is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training. This two-year course is ideal for those aiming for a career in education or childcare and leads to a licence to practise in early years settings.
You will combine classroom learning (80% of the course) with an extended industry placement (20% of the course), completing a minimum of 750 hours in a real work environment. This hands-on experience ensures you are ready for the workplace or further study.

Occupational Specialisms:
- Assisting Teaching
- Early Years Educator
Industry Placement:
- A minimum of 750 house (100 days) in a early years or educational setting. The extended placement requirement is due to the T-Level in Education & Early Years leading to a licence to practise in early years settings
Entry Requirements:
- You will typically need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths. However, individual circumstances may be considered at enrolment
Progression Routes:
- Higher-level Apprenticeship
- University; Primary Education, Child Psychology, or Early Years Studies
- Employment in roles such as; Nursery room leader, teaching assistant
