Derwentside College appoints new Principal and Chief Executive

Chris Todd has been appointed as the new Principal and Chief Executive of Derwentside College. Following a rigorous recruitment process Chris, previously Executive Director of Finance and Resources at the College, will take up his new role from 3 September 2018.
Chris is a highly experienced further education leader having previously held the role of Acting Principal and Chief Executive at Northumberland College, where he led the team that moved the college’s achievement rates into the top 10% nationally. He also has considerable experience of the wider educational landscape having worked for the Learning & Skills Council and The Excel Academy Partnership.
Chris said: "I feel honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to lead this fantastic organisation as the new Principal and Chief Executive of Derwentside College.
