Beauty Therapy

These courses will prepare you for a career in the beauty therapy industry and can lead to employment in salons, health spas and cruise liners. These practically-based programmes will teach you how to perform facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, eye treatments and make-up at Level 2 and Spa Treatments at Level 3.

Additional workshops that will further enhance your skills and employment are offered on the Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma. Your training will take place in a well-equipped working salon ‘Eden’, where you will provide treatments for a wide range of clients.

 

Learning Methods:

You will mainly be based in the colleges Health Spa where you will observe demonstration and practise treatments on each other before you progress onto paying clients.  Alongside the practical sessions, there is a significant amount of theory based lessons which requires you to take notes, listen to presentations, work interactively and complete written workbooks and assignments.

Part Time courses Available:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Therapy

  • Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology

  • Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology

  • Level 2 Certificate in Creative Craft (Media and Special Effects Make-up)

  • Level 3 Body Massage

What could I earn?

Beauty Therapist = £15,000 - £25,000

As a Beauty Therapist you will carry out a diverse range of face and body treatments for clients to help them look and feel better.

 

Spa Manager = £20,000 - £35,000

The Spa Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of their beauty establishment, including training, hiring, payroll, evaluation and service standards for spa staff.
