The aim of the course is to prepare you for industry, teaching you the basic skills needed to work in a hairdressing salon-performing cutting, colouring and styling services.

You must have achieved 3 GCSE'S  9-3 (A-D) including English. If you do not have your English, then you will need to complete an initial assessment or Diploma in Hairdressing Level 1.

  • Reception Duties
  • Consultation techniques

  • Practical observations
  • Assignments
  • Portfolio with evidence of work
  • On line tests

  • Progression to Level 3 qualifications

Becoming a Junior Stylist within a salon.

Full Time provision for 16-18 year olds is FREE.
Learners aged 19+ studying their first Level 3, the course fee is FREE.
Learners aged 19+ studying a second Level 3 qualification and learners aged 24+ studying at Level 3 can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to fund course fees.  You can discuss this further at your college interview.
