Diploma in Construction Skills - Brickwork

These qualifications provide the practical and technical skills needed to become a craftsperson, this is college based course which gives you real life hands on experience needed to successful work in the construction industry.  Within this course, you will learn setting out, build a cavity wall, and build walls in bricks and blockwork to make internal and external corners.

No formal qualifications are needed but Maths & English would be advantageous.

Throughout the length of the course you will learn about the Construction industry in a number of ways which include practical workshop sessions, online learning and theory sessions where you will learn about all the aspects of construction crafts.

These qualifications are assessed by trade competent staff you will be observed in practical situations demonstrating your competence of the trade.  Technical knowledge and theory will be assessed orally, with written questions or by means of knowledge assignments.  These technical courses also have online exams on health and safety and construction technology. 

After successful completion of the course you could progress onto a Construction Diploma level 2 qualification, apprenticeship or employment in your chosen career path.

Studying this course can open up opportunities to work within the construction sector.
