Wellbeing Support
As well as providing academic learning support we recognise that learners may need
personal support from experienced and skilled wellbeing practitioners.
The aim of wellbeing support is to enable learners to develop the skills needed to cope
with personal, social or emotional difficulties. Our wellbeing practitioners work with
learners on a variety of topics including confidence and self-esteem, anger
management, stress management and mental health support.
Our service includes:
• One-to-one appointments to discuss concerns or worries and
undertake a planned programme of support
• A dedicated practitioner to work with you and your support
network including family and professionals where appropriate
• Referral to specialist agencies, such as counselling, housing
support, mental health, drug and alcohol support, LGBTQ+,
sexual health, young/adult carers and bereavement
• Email and telephone support.
