If you’re thinking about a career within the building

industry and are keen to develop your skills in one of the

related trades, there has never been a better time. There

is significant demand for construction roles in the region

and we work with many employers who are very keen to

employ skilled local people.

We offer a wide range of courses that provide hands-on

training to enable you to develop your skills. All of our time

served staff are very knowledgeable and will provide

support and encouragement to enable you to reach your

potential within the industry. In addition, we have an

excellent track record of finding apprenticeship

opportunities for our full-time learners.

I joined the course

late as I was never sure of

what I wanted to do

when I left school.Within

months of joining I had

been selected for a work

placement with a local

construction company,

Absolute Civil Engineering.

I was the first full-time

learner to gain an

apprenticeship and the

company’s first female

bricklayer. I love what I do

and knowing I’ve helped

build homes for people

gives me such pride. I

couldn’t imagine doing

anything else and would

love to encourage other

women into the

construction industry.
