Quality Awards

Derwentside College is committed to striving for excellence and holds the Positive about Disabled award. Additionally, the College's careers guidance provision has received recognition via the prestigious Matrix Award. This award is the national quality standard for organisations delivering information, advice and guidance services for learning and work. This recognition is particularly notable, as we were one of the first organisations in the county to receive this sought-after award.

Quality Assurance

The College has in place a number of procedures designed to assure you of the quality of service you receive, to seek your views and to ensure the continuous improvement of such services. You will have the opportunity to make your views known on all aspects of the College, through course surveys, participation in the Course Review process and representation on quality forums. These include the College Forum, the main internal quality body and the Board of Corporation, which is the governing body of the College.
