Uniformed Services

Why study Uniformed Services?

If you are looking to pursue a career in the armed or civilian uniformed services, then this may be the course for you. Past students have progressed to careers in the Royal Marines, the Royal Air Force and the Army, as well as the Police Force and the Fire Brigade.

The Uniformed Services course has strong links with all of the services and provides students with numerous opportunities to experience service.

Students will also be given the opportunity to participate in expeditions at home and abroad. Recent expeditions and challenges have included; the Coast to Coast mountain bike challenge, survival training and walking, camping and navigating across the Langdale Pike in The Lake District.

The course aims to improve physical fitness standards and develop skills, such as map reading, team building and problem solving. In addition, you will take part in a wide range of activities that involve competitive sports, outdoor pursuits and adventurous activities. You will also study qualifications to enhance your employment prospects, such as The Duke of Edinburgh, Community Sports Leader and First Aid.
