Why study Supported Routes into Further Education?

Vocational Options (Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3)
Vocational Options is ideal for learners who want to explore a variety of vocational routes, whilst at the same time developing their literacy and numeracy skills. You will take part in a number of activities - including skills for work, literacy and numeracy, ICT and problem solving.

There are lots of practical and stimulating activities on this course, with the opportunity to find out more about different types of work and training. At Level 3, learners will choose a vocational route and take part in work experience. Part of the week will be spent in the learner's chosen vocational area, for example, IT/Administration, Care, Catering, Childcare and Hairdressing. Progression will be to a foundation level course.

Pre-Entry Level Programme
Our Essential Skills programme is for pre-entry level learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The programme is developed around independent living and aims to give learners the skills to become as independent as possible. Learners are taught in small groups, using specialist equipment within specially adapted rooms. Progression may lead to other programmes in this area, such as Vocational Options.

Entry to Employment (E2E)
Entry to Employment is a flexible programme designed for young people, who are not yet ready to go into further education, join an Apprenticeship, or gain employment.

This programme offers you the opportunity to develop your personal and social skills, as well as vocational skills in a choice of occupational areas. The skills and qualifications you achieve on your programme will help you to decide what to do next with your future.
