Why study Catering?
There are many opportunities in the Catering and Hospitality industry, which is one of the nation's largest and fastest growing industries. With such a demand for skilled chefs, studying a catering course can lead to many exciting employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, theme parks and even cruise liners!
On the course you will gain a wide range of skills, enabling you to develop an in-depth knowledge about cooking and preparation methods. Working in the College's production kitchen you will be able to put your skills into practice.
There's never a dull moment for catering students - you will build on your service and customer care skills in the College's restaurant - 'Chapters', and have the opportunity to work on a range of functions, conferences and dinner events throughout the year. On the course you will prove that you have the skills and knowledge required for the catering industry, by producing a portfolio of evidence - which is assessed by your tutor. Your successful portfolio, along with your skills and experience will aid you in your future career in catering.
