Access into Higher Education

Why study Access into Higher Education?

If you would like a new career direction and want to gain qualifications for entry into higher education, then our Access into Higher Education course could be just what you are looking for.

On this programme, you can choose from a range of vocational pathways, where you will study both your main subjects, as well as a range of core subjects. You will be expected to complete the award in one year, attending on average for 15 hours per week. Advice on progression into higher education and opportunities to visit local universities are also an integral part of the course.

To join this course, you will need a satisfactory interview with our Careers Adviser, along with evidence of your ability to work at Level 2 in English Language/Literacy, together with the drive, ambition and commitment to return to study and progress to higher education. On successful completion, you will achieve a nationally recognised Access Award, enabling you to apply to the university of your choice.

To arrange a guidance interview, please telephone: (01207) 585900.
