Applying for Post 16 Courses………..A Levels, Diplomas, Apprenticeships, Foundation Learning?

Find out about all of the opportunities and courses available to you in County Durham.

Make electronic applications based on your choices using one standard application form

If you are in Year 11, you can make online applications to schools with sixth forms, colleges and work based learning providers using the area wide prospectus and Common Application Process (CAP).

The area wide prospectus can be accessed via the Help4teens website. This site provides lots of useful and up to date information on a whole host of topics such as careers and choices, health, transport, volunteering and free-time plus lots more!

Simply click on the area wide prospectus button on the Help4teens homepage. You can now search on all of the learning opportunities available locally. Check out search results based on entering your own keyword such as chemistry, bricklaying, electrical installation or check out a subject category such as Science and Mathematics. You can also find out every school or college who offer a package of courses such as AS level courses in Art, Chemistry and Biology or simply get information on all courses offered by a particular school, college or work based learning provider.

Once you have registered for "My Courses", you can save details of your favourite courses. Your school will provide you with a unlock code, which you will enter when prompted. You can now fill out your application online, save for later or simply send to your chosen school or college at the click of a button!

See the progress of your applications, receive requests for interview, conditional/unconditional or alternate offers or request from support from your Connexions Personal Adviser using the area wide prospectus and your "My Courses" area.

If you need further help or support, please speak to your tutor or Connexions Personal Adviser.
