At Derwentside College, we specialise in the teaching of a wide range of vocational and apprenticeship courses. We also have a variety of specialist facilities including: ‘Chapters Restaurant’, for our budding chefs, ‘Hair Works’ for our hairdressing students and the Centre of Engineering Enterprise for the engineers and welders of the future.

Chill-out time...
When you’re not studying you can relax and unwind in the Food for Thought Cafe, which serves hot and cold food daily, as well as a selection of healthy snacks. Situated around the College there are designated
student social areas, where you can relax and catch-up with your friends.

The Consett Campus also offers excellent leisure facilities, including a sports hall, where you can play 5-aside, or netball with your friends, alongside a fitness suite where you can work up a sweat.
